Who are we?

Who are Making Changes Together?

A message from Making Changes Together:

“Making Changes Together was set up in County Durham as a way parents and professionals can work together to improve services for children and young people with additional needs.

Making Changes Together gathers information from parents at the Forum Conferences, through Focus Groups, emails, telephone calls, via local support groups and more.”

Every parent and carer from County Durham can have their say!

Making Changes Together Steering Group

The Day the Steering Group Met Kate Sturdy

The Making Changes Together Steering Group was established to plan and prepare the parents forum conferences.

The Steering Group was established with the agenda of bringing together a diverse group of parents and carers of children and young people. We hope the group will represent as diverse a range of disabilities as possible from a number of different areas of County Durham

Over time they have also become a contact point for service providers when they are planning and preparing services

They are asked how to deliverĀ  and request information through the parent’s forum conferences, website and the contacts they have with support groups, social networks and more

They have many visitors who want to hear about the work of Making Changes Together in County Durham including Kate Sturdy. Kate Sturdy at the time was the Assistant Director, SEN & Disability for the Department of Children, Schools and Families in London
