MCT Durham PCF CIO

(Durham’s Parent Carer Forum. Formerly named Making Changes Together)

We are Durham’s official Department for Education (DfE) funded Parent Carer Forum and a group of experienced parent carer volunteers from County Durham who represent the interests of parents and carers of children and young people with special educational needs and or disabilities within the Durham Local Authority area.

We do this by working in partnership with the Local Authority, Health and Social Care plus other groups and organisations  ( locally, regionally, and nationally ) to influence service provision and highlight the issues and needs of the families we represent.

We are funded by the DfE via the NNPCF (National Network of Parent Carer Forums) to coordinate, promote and deliver parent participation locally. We deliver workshops, 2 parent carer conferences every year in May ( 1 daytime and 1 evening) , and various events within County Durham to get views from all parent carers and influence “Changes Together”.

MCT DURHAM PCF has now been established as a CIO (Charitable incorporated organisation) and, as of March 2023, have been duly registered onto the Register of Charities under the Registered Charity Number 1202217.
